This Lion-ring nr. 5 was from a soldier who was in Poland en Russia.
The soldier bought the ring in 1940 in Rathenow (near Berlin) . He survived the war and is now 89 years old; living in the surroundings of Berlin.
I got it from his grandson.
Ofcourse I would like to know more, but they gave not more info.

Looks like the crude lines on the head and on the sides are redone, possibly because of the wear the profile had gone .

Hi Andy. I was just posting the second two pics, when I saw your post here.
Thank you for the complement. I'll let the horse dunk under my shoes for further optimal lion hunt.

Default Mickey n the lions

Hi benten
great ring even with the 70 yr wear on it still looks great . Most important you bought it from the family and only if this ring could talk to us what stories it could tell . Maybe one day ill connect in getting a 800 silver lion head i think there probly is more in europe then america all i have seen here is 14kt gold every once in a while and gold will not fly for me as its not ww2 period and ww2 is what i collect. Ok benten keep mickey fed so he can whip those lions in shape thanks for the showing of this great ww2 history andy militarynut
